Gosh, was that it?!

Ok, now I think that has to have been the worst summer I have experienced in the UK in recent memory apart from last year apparently. But for some unknown reason I can't remember last summer anyway.

So the average temperature in the UK this summer was a measly 14.1°C which we're told is above the 1971-2000 average by 0.4°C. But because we were blessed with such warm weather, we had to pay for it with 132% of the average rainfall for 1971-2000. And a whole 358.4 hours of sunshine which again was 105% of the 1971-2000 average.

So I guess we should be thankful for such a fantastic UK summer.

No wonder all my friends want to move away from London. Because what those statistics don't mention are:

#1 The lack of air con when it does get warm.
#2 The level of humidity is unbearable, especially when you're expected to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
#3 The fact that the sun manages to shine when you're working and rarely on your days off.
#4 The number of people suffering from allergies in London is greater than in most other cities worldwide.
#5 The stress levels due to the crap weather, allergies, soaring living expenses and increasing household fuel prices is at a record high.

But I guess we can feel a bit better because we Team GB won us 47 medals in the Olympics. Even though many of the still have to hold down day jobs to be able to survive here in the UK.

And of the £900m Cost of 2012 Olympics, guess just how much will go into training those athletes... maybe none.

And who will foot the bill for it? Yep, you guessed it... muggins here (the London tax payer)

Well, rant over. I will go and start acquiring a taste for bean on toast as it it probably what we'll be eating for the next 4 years.
